Preparation
- If you're taking medications for chronic illnesses or if you have any other health conditions, inform the clinic beforehand.
- If you are allergic to any drugs, please inform your dentist during the consultation.
- If you are on blood thinners, speak to your home doctor first. They must confirm that you are able to go forward with your dental treatment.
- If you are diabetic, you must show that your blood sugar levels are between 80 - 150 mg/dL.
- Treatment is not recommended if you are undergoing chemotherapy treatment. If you are not currently undergoing chemotherapy, it’s possible to have treatment with the approval of your doctor and medical information.
- If you smoke, please do not smoke for 1 day before your treatment.
- If you drink alcohol, please do not drink for 1 day before your treatment.
- If you will be receiving general anaesthesia, you must stop eating and drinking 8 hours before your treatment.
Aftercare
- Follow your dentist’s instructions carefully.
- Wait at least 24 hours before resuming smoking or drinking alcohol.
- Use your mouthguard every night to protect your veneers.
- Visit your dentist every 6 months for regular check-ups.
