Specialty: Hair transplantation Operations in 2018: 1000
Dr. Yavuz is a Hair Transplant Specialist at Dr. Ziya Yavuz Clinic at Acibadem Hospital Kadiköy.
What is your experience with international patients?
Until now, I have operated on more than 4000 patients. 90 percent of these patients are international patients. We strive to give the highest quality hair transplantation service to our international patients at the most affordable price.
Hair transplantation is a team and organization work. Quality service is very important in every stage of this process. After arriving at the airport, our patient is transferred to our 5-star hotel with our VIP vehicles. On the morning of the operation day, they are brought to Acibadem Hospital, which is one of the best health groups in Istanbul.
I make sure to meet the patient in the hospital first. In particular, I am communicating with my English-speaking patients as much as I can without a translator. When I communicate in this way, mutual trust develops better.
What do you love about your job?
First of all, you help the patients coming to you, you solve the problem, you bring them back to their old hairy days. It's a nice feeling to help a patient to feel secure, happy and young again. This is the most important reason I love this job.
Secondly, each patient has different characteristics for hair transplantation. It has different graft structure, different texture, different spill shape. Making a proper operation plan, opening the channels and planting the grafts, makes me as happy as if it had created a work of art.
Why do you think international patients come to you?
My patients' results are very natural. They are very satisfied with the results and they recommend me, so their friends want to come to me for the operation. I also think that my communication with patients is very sincere.
Can you tell us about a memorable treatment with which you helped to improve a patient's life?
I have too many memories to tell about this. I had a scalp burned patient who had an accident when he was a child. I transplanted grafts to the burned part and the probability of holding was very low, but almost all of the grafts implanted and the scarred area was covered with hair.
This made me and my patient so happy. The operation of the patient was very successful. My patient burst into tears of happiness after the operation. He said he waited 20 years for this moment. I wish I could have helped this patient before.
