Meet the doctors

Dr. Atilla Adnan Eyüboğlu, MD

Specialty: Breast surgeries and liposuction
Operations in 2017: 150

Dr. Eyüboğlu is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist at Memorial Bahcelievler Hospital.

An interview with Dr. Eyüboğlu

What is your experience with international patients?
I have experience with international patients from 30 countries so far over more than 5 years.

What do you love about your job?
The most important reason to love my job is that it is a surgical branch which depends on your imagination and art. You can do everything that your mind is able to.

Why do you think international patients come to you?
They come to me because I inform my patients of every detail of the operation. I am so transparent with my patients. I tell them what I am able to do and not. I keep in touch with my patient. They can ask anything whenever they need and I think I have a good talent at my job.

Can you tell us about a memorable treatment with which you helped to improve a patient's life?
I help many patients but the most recent one I remember is a patient with a squamosis cell carcinoma on his lower jaw. Half of his lower jaw was removed due to the cancer and there was a wide defect which required free tissue transfer. I took his fibula bone from his leg and shaped it according to the defect with plate and screws. Then I adapted that prefabricated free fibula flap with microsurgery. I was alone during the harvest and microanastomosis. I did anastomosis of the vessels using a microscope and after the surgery he didn’t have any problems. Now he can speak and eat properly and he is still handsome.

Dr. Mehmet Melih Çiçek, MD

Speciality: Rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty
Operations in 2017: 80

Dr. Çiçek is an Otorhinolaryngology Specialist at Memorial Bahcelievler Hospital.

An interview with Dr. Çiçek

What is your experience with international patients?
I mainly performed rhinoplasty and septoplasty operations on patients coming from abroad.

What do you love about your job?
Nasal surgery is performed for functional and aesthetic aspects. While solving their health problems, I like to make the patients look better visually.

Why do you think international patients come to you?
Nose operations are being done a lot in Turkey and especially in Istanbul. This increases our experience in performing them and directly affects the success. I highly recommend Turkey to international patients interested in rhinoplasty.

Can you tell us about a memorable treatment with which you helped to improve a patient's life?
There is not only one example that I can tell. Therefore I am giving general feedback. Both septorhinoplasty and rhinoplasty have functional and aesthetic gains. Therefore, aesthetic changes provide self-confidence, self-esteem and positive feedback from the environment in an emotional way and opening of the nasal airway, snore reduction, mouth-breathing and increased performance in a functional way. Its reflection in daily life is that a woman or man looks better after surgery and he or she does not bother his partner anymore with snoring. We see these two gains in many patients.
