FAQ

Question:

How long does a hip replacement last?

Answer:

It is estimated that a modern hip replacement has a lifespan of approximately twenty years. Recipients can expect to enjoy relatively pain free activity during this time, with an estimated 80 percent of the hip replacements lasting the full two decades. For younger patients, a cementless hip might be an option. These replacements may last even longer, but studies have not yet confirmed this.
