Founded by Géza Sikos, M.D. in 1992, the Sikos Clinic specializes in hair transplantation and plastic surgery procedures. Dr Sikos and his team work in cooperation with the leading British hair clinic, FARJO Medical and perform two types of hair transplant: the traditional technique is follicular unit transplantation (FUT) also called "strip harvesting", and follicular unit extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a single strip of the scalp where follicles are plentiful and then cutting out its follicular units under a microscope to create grafts for transplantation. With FUE each follicular unit is removed one at a time, a more time consuming process, but one that avoids the linear scar from the donor site. In addition to hair transplantation the clinic also offers treatments including Botox, liposuction, breast reduction, breast implants, gynecomastia, otoplasty, rhinoplasty, fat transfer, lip enhancement, and abdominoplasty.
