Breast augmentation is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the world. If you're considering breast implants to improve symmetry and proportion or restore your body after pregnancy or weight loss, the biggest decision to make is whether you want silicone or saline implants. Silicone implants are popular because they offer a more natural look and feel with less risk of rippling. Breast augmentation is a very safe surgery that can be used to increase and/or improve the size, shape, and symmetry of your breasts to improve your self-confidence and how well clothing fits.

At Qunomedical, we partner with top-rated breast augmentation surgeons around the world. You have your choice of several skilled surgeons to perform your silicone breast implant surgery. While many of our surgeons receive their medical training and qualifications at U.S. and UK medical schools and are members of prestigious associations, the cost of your procedure can be up to 80% less than the typical price in the U.S., UK, and Australia.

How Does a Silicone Breast implant Procedure Work?

Silicone breast implants differ from saline implants in that they are pre- filled with silicone gel, whereas saline implants are inserted empty and filled with sterile salt water. Silicone implants are available in many sizes and filled with a thick fluid that very closely mimics the feel of natural fat. Your procedure may take 1-3 hours under general anesthesia. Your surgeon will attempt to conceal your incisions, although incisions are larger with silicone than saline implants. In most cases, silicone implants are inserted through an incision underneath the breast and above the crease or through a transaxillary incision near the armpit. Your implants will be inserted in a pocket that is under the pectoral muscle or on top of the muscle and under natural breast tissue.

After your surgery, you will need to wear a surgical compression bra to improve healing. Because implants stretch the breast tissue, you will feel the most discomfort during the first 48 hours, although this will lessen each day. A stiff, sore feeling in the chest is common during the first week and you will need to avoid pushing, pulling, lifting, and any strenuous activity while you heal. Silicone implant recovery usually takes a few weeks before you can resume normal activities.
