Dr. Gamze Bektas is a highly accomplished specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. She graduated from Osmangazi University School of Medicine, Eskisehir, Turkey in 2004, laying the foundation for her flourishing medical career. She speaks Turkish and English fluently.

My ultimate objective is to ensure that patients traveling to Turkey from around the world receive exceptional aesthetic outcomes. I believe that plastic surgery should be accessible to all and help improve a person’s health and happiness in the long run. Dr. Gamze Bektas' Professional Experience

Following her graduation, Dr. Bektas completed her specialist training at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Izmir Tepecik Education and Research Hospital, Turkey, in 2005. She then went on to specialise in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Akdeniz University School of Medicine, Antalya, Turkey, from 2005 to 2012. Her dedication to her field was demonstrated by her extensive thesis on pedicle torsion and perforator flaps.

In 2012, Dr. Bektas served as a plastic surgeon at Tatvan Public Hospital, Bitlis, Turkey, for a year. Around this time she also expanded her knowledge and skills by undergoing an observership at the prestigious NHS Moorfields Eye Hospital in the Adnexial Service (oculoplastic surgery) in London, England.

Between 2013 and 2016, she had the honor to work at Prof. Dr. Omer Ozkan Clinic in Antalya, Turkey, where she was part of the team that conducted the first double arm and face transplant in Turkey, and the world's first uterus transplant.

Dr. Bektas is certified by both the Turkish and European boards of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic Surgery. She is also an active member of several professional societies, including the Turkish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society, and The Society of Stem Cell and Cellular Treatment.

Her contribution to the field has been recognised with multiple awards for best oral presentations at national congresses, as well as a second prize in a plastic surgery specialist research competition.
