About Dr. Mehmet Erdogan
Dr. Mehmet Erdogan is a hair transplant surgeon who attained his medical degree at Yeditepe University. He is one of the co-founders of Smile Hair Clinic and is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).
He began his career as a doctor at the Acibadem Health Group, shortly after which he transferred to Medicana Health Group to pursue his ambition of medical administration. Here, he rose to Deputy Chief Physician and his business acumen led him to also serve as Director of the International Patient Centre. In 2013 he became a certified hair transplant surgeon, since which he has developed his expertise and performed over 4,000 procedures.
Based on his advanced surgical skills, experience thereof and his in-depth understanding of medical tourism management, Dr. Erdogan was in a strong position to co-found Smile Hair Clinic in 2018. Like his colleagues here, he has gained a global reputation as a hair transplant specialist who uses modern techniques.
Dr. Erdogan uses the combined accuracy of a micro-motor tool for graft extraction and sapphire FUE for insertion. Through meticulous planning before the operation he is able to design very natural-looking hairlines, and he is also committed to innovating techniques - both are extensions of the clinic’s ‘True Philosophy’.
